The direct line will bring you after about a quarter of an hour's drive to The main stations in the city - Makkasan and Phayathai, while the suburban train also arrives at the Makkasan station, but stops along the way at five other stations and takes about half an hour to travel.
In addition to the obvious advantages, it is important to note that using the train will save you from haggling with the local drivers regarding the payment and will allow you to avoid the famous traffic jams of Thailand's capital city which, especially during rush hour, can be really tough.

There are four bus lines that depart from the airport bus terminal and go all over the city of Bangkok in addition to several other destinations around the country.
