Before traveling to Krabi - get travel insurance

Before we go into detail about the fun attractions that await you in the Krabi province, it is worth emphasizing the importance of taking out travel insurance before the trip. Because most of the attractions and activities you will encounter in these areas are less routine, they are defined as more dangerous in terms of insurance. This means that the basic travel insurance policy does not cover these activities in full, so appropriate extensions must be purchased to be covered. Do not even think of traveling to Thailand without travel insurance, and after purchasing the basic policy, calculate what activities you want to do and expand the insurance accordingly. If you are going to Krabi, the recommendation is not to take a risk and extend the insurance to any type of activity that exists there, so you can spontaneously decide what you want to do. The cost is not high, and compared to the cost of the entire trip, it is even really negligible.

Riley Beach - the highlight of the district

It is impossible to mention Krabi without also mentioning Riley Beach, which together are the perfect answer to any vacation. Riley Beach is actually a small peninsula (peninsula), which includes four beaches, all of which attract many tourists and are considered one of the most sought-after beach areas in Thailand. It is located a little south of Ao Nang beach, in a rocky area and is only accessible by boat.

At Riley Beach you can find amazing white sandy beaches, high limestone cliffs, charming viewpoints, caves and even a lagoon hidden among the cliffs, all within walking distance. There are no roads in Riley Beach, only walking paths. There are no buses or cars and the only traffic possible is by boats. Although it is connected to the continent (a peninsula, as mentioned), there is something very isolated and detached about it, which is created, among other things, thanks to the image of a tropical paradise, which is received from the very first moment when visiting the place.

The guests in Riley Beach do so in one of the resorts along the beach, because of the access to it that does not allow accommodation in any other part of the Krabi province and reaching Riley Beach. If you are looking for an excellent hotel for a quality vacation in Riley Beach, we will recommend the excellent luxury hotel Rayawadi, a hotel Sunrise Tropical Resort and a hotel Bhu Nga Thani Resort They are two excellent mid-level hotels, and if you are looking for a hotel mainly to rest your head at night - Avatar Riley Resort will do the job. More great hotels in Riley Beach are possible Find here.

Beyond being a cluster of four lovely beaches, Riley Beach is also known for being an area full of activities and various attractions. One of the most well-known of them is Rock Climbing, where many tourists try the many routes in the area. You can join climbing lessons, which is especially suitable for beginner climbers or those who have not experienced it at all, and acquire the necessary skill to meet the challenge. Kayaking is a must in Riley Beach and is a great way to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy special sights, both of the sea and the land. On the beaches of Riley itself, you can enjoy various sports activities, such as beach volleyball and even football, and those who want real peace can spend their free time in "Betan Gev".

Diamond Cave

This cave is one of the well-known attractions of Riley Beach and you better not miss it. To reach it, you have to walk on the marked path, which starts at the eastern end of Riley Beach, a not long walk that definitely justifies itself. In the cave, which has a very high ceiling, you can see magnificent stalactites and also meet quite a few bats, who have found their home there. It is a real wonder that is recommended to stop for a few moments before continuing to the other destinations. Entrance to the cave is for a fee.

Sa Phra Nang

Also called, by the locals, "the hidden lagoon". Its name means "Pool of the Holy Princess" and it is a prominent and well-known tourist destination in Riley Beach. The site itself is affected by the tides, and to enjoy the water it is highly recommended to make sure you arrive at high tide. You can already find the sign for the lagoon itself on the path between the western outskirts of Riley Beach and Phra Nang Beach, and to reach it you will have to climb through muddy terrain and go down the rocky slope. The mud is slippery and makes walking a little difficult, so it is very advisable to come with comfortable shoes, take extra care and also look for a dry day to go on this walk. Upon arrival at the place, you will discover a pool surrounded by cliffs, all this provided of course that you made sure to get there at high tide. If you arrive at low tide all you will see is a small muddy pool which will surely be a disappointment...

And now, a bit about Krabi
