Beaches in Copenhagen

The "paradise" of Thailand, the stronghold of parties and exotic beaches, offers no less than 30 spectacular beaches. White sand and clear water against the background of the green jungle vegetation and the spectacular sunsets, make the Copenhagen to one of the most desirable destinations in Thailand. The island is located about half an hour from Kosmoy and about an hour and a half From Tao. in addition to The full moon parties which have made the island one of the must-see spots in the country, you can spend your time on many isolated beaches, diving sites, trekking in the rain forests, excellent restaurants and more Plenty of fun attractions

The beaches in Copenhagen are divided into several types in terms of their size and the amount of tourists there. Some of the views are impressive and some less so, but it is also possible that a less glamorous beach will offer the most successful pubs on the island. There are actually parties for every possible shape of the moon here, so you can enjoy yourself From the Half Moon parties And sometimes also from a black moon party, pool parties, foam parties and more.

The island can be divided into four geographical groups:

The northeastern beaches - clear water, good insulation, Quality resorts and beaches wrapped in jungles, including Tong Nai Pan, Had Kuat and Tan Sadt.

the northwest coasts - Great for snorkeling and swimming, with amazing sunsets. The tip for travelers is to stay as much as possible on the north line, because as you head towards Tongsala the beaches become less good for bathing. Here you will find Chaluklam, Salad Beach, Had Yao, Had Sun and May Had beaches, among others.

Southeast of the island – The lively and lively area of Copenhagen, including the well-known Full Moon parties. Here you will find Had Rin Beach where the Full Moon Party is held every month and next to it beaches such as Had Yuan and Lila Beach which are also good for swimming.

the southern beaches - As we mentioned, they are less successful for bathing, but great for parties. Here you will find Tongsala Beach, Ban Tai Beach and Ban Kai Beach.

It is important to note that each of the beaches is different from the others and therefore appeals to a different audience. Families will surely prefer the quiet and comfortable Ad Salad, the beachgoers and young people the Ad Rin area, couples looking for something luxurious will turn to Tong Nai Pan and the spiritual to the beaches of Sritano.

The preferred way to get from coast to coast in Copenhagen is by car moped or 4x4 vehicle, which allow going down to the beach itself. Other options are a taxi or water ceremony, which are relatively expensive.

The recommended beaches in Copenhagen

Haad Rin - Haad Rin

Had Rin is the main, largest and most famous beach in Copenhagen, thanks to the full moon parties that take place there. Here, in fact, there are two beaches: the western and quieter one, which includes a large pier, and the busy eastern one, where the parties are held. The beach strip offers a selection of accommodation complexes, in every possible budget. Of course you can also find plenty of food here (including kosher restaurants), pubs, clubs, shopping and more.

Had Rin is a paradise for revelers and party-goers, so it is less suitable for families or people looking for peace and quiet.

Haad Yao and Haad Salad - Haad Yao & Haad Salad

Two adjacent and lovely beaches. Had Yao is a beautiful and impressive beach, which many come to witness the dreamy sunsets that take place there. The sea waters here are shallow and allow for pleasant wading, with palm trees wrapping and shading the white sand. Had Salad is the "little brother" of Had Yao, attractive mainly to couples and families. The beach itself can be reached by moped or taxi which is quite expensive. If you are with a moped, avoid riding to the bay at night, since the road to it is full of steep ups and downs and the road is dark.

Ao Thong Nai Pan Noi & Yai

Once again, a pair of popular beaches and worth visiting, located in the northeast of the island. Nai Pen Noi is the northernmost beach in Kopenhagen and the atmosphere there is calm and some would even say, very spiritual. Nai Pen Yai is a beach that is a bit wild and loose in its atmosphere and energies. Getting here is By ferry only – Speed Boat or Long Tail (the cheaper but slower of the two). The cruise takes about 45 minutes, but the view from it is spectacular. On the beach there are resorts and bungalows, bars and restaurants.

Than sadet

A beach located in the eastern strip, about half an hour's drive from Had Rin, up and down the mountains. Tan Sedat Beach was visited over a hundred years ago by the King of Thailand and this visit was recorded with a royal seal on a large rock at the entrance to the beach. The place merges with a pastoral stream, which offers several waterfalls along its length that you can reach. The area of the beach itself is quite small and its waters are already deep upon entering. In the center of the beach there is a restaurant and small bungalows around.

It is important to note that there is really no cellular reception on this beach. In addition, there is an old wooden bridge in the southern part of the beach, which leads to a charming and beautiful deserted beach.

bottle beach

Bottle Beach or in its local name "Had Coat" offers a stretch of white and particularly soft sand, clear and pampering water and several resorts with nice restaurants. It is a completely isolated beach, which requires arriving by boat, so not everyone may connect with the idea. Theoretically, there is a dirt road leading to the place but it includes a steep downhill slope, which the scooter or bicycle cannot go down without causing damage to you or them. Therefore, it is recommended to reach the place by boat leaving from Tong Nai Pan or Chaloklam beach.

Chaloklum Beach and Mae Haad Beach - Chaloklum & Mae Haad Beach

Another pair of beaches in the northeastern part of Copenhagen. Chaloklum Beach offers about 2.5 km of lovely beach, in the center of which lies a small village and pier, rich in long tail boats. This is a fishing area where you will of course find fresh fish and shops. Maa Had Beach is the more isolated of the two (and mainly houses families) and offers only a number Accommodation is limited in bungalows, with a few restaurants. The bonus is a small island located in the middle of the water, connected to the beach by a natural and intriguing sandy passage. Around the island there is an active and bustling coral reef, making the place For a wanted diving center

The secret beach - Secret Beach

Had Son, the secret beach, is a tiny and magical place that opens with a steep descent, parking the car and another foot descent of about a hundred steps. The sand is clean, the water is crystal clear and great for bathing, the sunsets are wonderful and the crowds come here to experience the romantic spectacle. On the beach you will find a small bar and a restaurant belonging to the nearby resort.

Night beach - Leela Beach

Lila Beach is located on the other side of Had Rin, away from the full moon parties and the hustle and bustle. here is also The famous Cocohat Hotel, which became the Israelis' second home thanks to the huge pool and the restaurant that specializes in not bad Israeli food at all. The beach itself is beautiful and bathing is very comfortable. The bonus is the proximity to the colorful and lively area of the parties, but with the option of returning back to the calm and quiet "place of the insurers" at any stage. Suitable for families and couples mainly.

Wai nam – wai nam

Wai Nam is considered a real gem, for those who are willing to invest and reach it especially. Arrival is by boat from Hadrin Beach (at a cost of 200 baht each way) and takes about 10 minutes. On the weekends, great parties are held there and during the middle of the week, you should come to bathe and be alone.

Haad Khom - Haad Khom

Few people know the small and beautiful beach, which makes it a kind of accessible and pleasant private beach, with lots of shade and several restaurants on site. The only drawback is that up to the line of entering the water, the sand is studded with stones and jagged shells that hurt the feet very much, so the walking is slow and sometimes there is no choice but to enter the water with shoes. If this figure is ignored, Kahum Beach provides a fun and delightful stay for a few good hours.

Haad yuan - Haad yuan

It's a pretty calm beach, located just 10 minutes by boat from Had Rin. This statistic makes it a beach where the experience is "with, but feels without". In other words, Had Yuan offers a great beach that is very close to the parties, but not one that is deep in the noise and chaos. The beach itself has a beautiful tropical look with few bungalows and two particularly luxurious resorts.

Ban khai & ban thai

The stretch of beach in Ban Thai and the one after it, Ban Kai, make up a huge part of the traffic on the island. Ban Kai hosts most of Copenhagen's big parties, with the exception of the Full Moon itself, which only takes place on Had Rin Beach. In fact, no less than ten different parties are held here every month. The place is rich in accommodation and restaurants, but it is important to know that the beach itself is not one of the most beautiful on the island. That's why there are travelers who prefer to spend the night on another beach and come here only for parties.

Laem Hat Rin - Laem Hat Rin

It is a central and main beach located in the south-east of Copenhagen: the popular strip of the island. This beach consists of two separate beaches (a number of small streets pass between them), each of which has restaurants, pubs, shops, travel agencies and more.

Ko Ma - Ko Ma

This is a narrow strip of beach, connecting to Ao Mae Hat beach and the small island of Ku-ma. It is a particularly narrow strip, so during high tide it is almost completely covered by water. Therefore, arrival is only possible by boat during high tide. The low hours allow a free walk to the nearby charming island - a place rich in diverse vegetation, fruit trees such as papaya and coconuts. There are many reefs around, which makes Ko Ma one of the recommended places For snorkeling and diving

When is it recommended to come to Copenhagen?

The weather on the island It is an important factor when arriving and must be taken into account along with the high and low tide seasons. Due to the proximity of the island to the equator, it has a tropical climate ranging between 34-25 degrees. Sun, high humidity and rain characterize most of the days on the island, while the annual amount of precipitation is very respectable. The month of February is considered the driest of the year, while November is the wettest.

These relationships in the weather remain known and constant throughout the year, but they can be divided into three seasons:

the dry season - From mid-December to April

the hot season - from May to September. In this season the heat is heavy and there are rain storms.

the rainy season – October to mid-December. This season is accompanied by monsoons.

At the same time, the division does not always prevail over the entire island. Thus one side can, for example, suffer from a particularly stormy day, while the other side enjoys a sunny and wonderful day in the water.

An equally important matter is the tides:
The low tide season occurs from April to November, while the high tide season occurs from November to April. The low tide season does not allow swimming during part of the day on the west side of Copenhagen, as a result of extremely shallow water and the formation of sandy islands. That is why the eastern side is considered more recommended, since it is where swimming is possible all year round, thanks to the deep water.

Therefore, the ideal time to come to Copenhagen is between the months of January and August. Despite this, you will always find tourists on the island and of course parties, experiences and interest.
