Klong Thom hot springs

Saline Hot Spring Khlong Thom

District / neighborhood: Klong Tom

Usually when you go on vacation, you arrive at some destination and look for attractions there that will suit the vacationers and the nature of the trip they are interested in - in the case of the hot springs in Krabi, this is a special case where things happen the other way around and in fact many people come to the area specifically to enjoy this unusual attraction. Well, what has been said and what shall we say? It's definitely worth it!

The hot springs of Klong Tom are in fact several not very large pools located in the depths of the Thai jungle and filled with water at a temperature of 35-40 degrees Celsius - a kind of large bath or natural jacuzzi that was created as a result of the hot water being cut into the rock. The water flowing in the pool creates a relatively strong natural movement, which if you grab a comfortable spot on the rocks and close your eyes you can really imagine as if you are in the middle of a deep tissue massage.

As the water is quite warm, this is a perfect attraction in any season of the year, including days that may be cooler or rainy - what's better than enjoying the fickle Thai weather while staying in this hot delight?

The water that springs naturally is known to be rich in natural minerals with many healing properties and in addition to those who come to the pools to enjoy a pampering massage by nature, the survivors of the challenging climb to the observation point in the nearby Eye of the Tiger temple also visit the place, who take advantage of the opportunity that came their way and dip in the spring water on in order to release their aching body muscles.

This whole wonderful experience becomes many times more wonderful when you add the wild setting provided by the local nature, when the hot pools are surrounded by jungle and all that implies. One thing that you should take into account before you come especially to the place, is the hot temperature of the water which may be too hot for children, so if you are traveling in a family group, you should put some thought into this.

Either way, the visit to the springs can be finished by cooling the body in the cool water of the adjacent river, into which the spring water flows, but visitors report that the river is full of mud and is not particularly clean... for your consideration.

If you still have time left for the trip, it is recommended to combine the visit to the pools with a trip to nature, including a stop at the nearby sites such as the spectacular Tiger's Eye Temple, the beautiful Emerald Pool and several other magical gems located around the park.
