In a huge area, of over 100 thousand square meters, is the floating market of Pattaya, which is also the main attraction of the city. The market is located on Sukhumvit Road, in the south of the city, and is open throughout the day. Pattaya's floating market is a great place to escape to for a good break from the noisy crowd in Pattaya, eat good food, go shopping, enjoy the many activities the place offers and above all watch Thai culture at its best. This is a very special and fun experience for all ages and the whole family.
It is interesting to know that Pattaya's floating market is perhaps the most visited, but it is certainly not the only one in Thailand. This is a well-known traditional experience in the country, this is how the local residents used to purchase their groceries in the past. The largest and most authentic floating market is located near the capital Bangkok (half an hour's drive away) and is called Damnoen Saduak.
