Mini Siamese

Mini-Siam

District / Neighborhood: Bang Lamong

Mini Siam is a famous miniature park established in 1985 by a man named Kasem Kasemkietsakul, a well-traveled businessman and tourist who was also an avid architecture lover. Kasem decided to build his own little world - Mini Siam (the ancient name of Thailand) and Mini Europe (which represents the rest of the world) and open up in pattaya An educational and special tourist attraction. Over the years, the site has become one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Thailand.

In fact, these are two separate areas located in a spacious park, separated by a small river with a bridge over it. The park covers a large area of more than 11 dunams. Scattered in it are about 100 miniature models of famous buildings, from different periods, divided according to each country.

In the part of Thailand (mini Siam) you can learn about the history of the country in detail and of course watch models of important historical and cultural places, such as the Democracy Monument in Bangkok, many temples such as the Angkor Temple, the ruins of the city of Ayutthaya and more.

In the second part of the park, Mini Europe, you can see modern buildings from all over the world. For example, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Mount Rushmore and the Statue of Liberty in the USA, the Great Church in St. Petersburg, the Tower of Pisa and the Coliseum in Italy and the Clock Tower in London.

From the ancient period you can see a model of a city from the time of the Roman Empire, with buildings such as the amphitheater, and the pyramids of Egypt along with statues of relevant figures such as Queen Nefertiti and King Pharaoh.

The site is a fun and educational attraction for the whole family. This is a wonderful place to make a trip around the world in 80 minutes instead of 80 days, like from a bird's eye view. You will also be able to enrich your knowledge, explore history and take pictures and be photographed constantly. The place is full of paths and signs that will guide you well where to go and what you see.

The tour usually lasts a few hours, so remember to come with comfortable shoes. If you arrive in the morning or afternoon, keep in mind that the sun tends to be very strong. You should bring a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water with you in advance. If you feel like resting, snacking or drinking something, there is a cafe and a shaded rest area.

opening timesThe site is open throughout the week, from 7:00 a.m. to 21:00 p.m. The last entry is possible at 20:00. The most recommended time to visit is in the evening, when the temperatures drop and the air becomes pleasant, in addition to the spectacular lighting that illuminates the performances.

PricesAn entrance ticket to the place (for tourists) costs 300 baht. Admission is free for children under 100 cm tall. For children 100-140 cm tall, a ticket will cost 150 baht.

How to get thereThe site is at 387 Moo 6 Sukhumvit Road, 2.5 kilometers north of downtown Pattaya. You will see the entrance to the park opposite the local hospital. In order to get there you can take a short ride by taxi or tuk-tuk (songthaew) from the city center. It is about a 20 minute drive. To get to the place by cheaper public transportation, you can take a blue baht bus to Sukhumvit highway and there take a white baht bus that will drop you off nearby. From there you will have to cross a 400 meter bridge on foot and then you will be in Mini Siam. Each bus ride costs 10 baht per person.
