Kosmoi - Great Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai)

The Great Buddha Temple is considered one of the most popular attractions, among other things due to its special location on a small and beautiful island near the mainland. Many visitors visit the place every day, including mainly tourists but also quite a few local religious and spiritual people.

The place is named after the huge statue that stands there - a golden Buddha that stands no less than 12 meters tall. The statue, which was built in 1972, can be seen from a distance, which soon made it one of the prominent and central points on the island.

It is interesting to know about the statue that the posture in which Buddha sits symbolizes purity and stability for believers. In addition, you can see many species of tropical plants and animals. Among others - elephants, wild boars, monkeys, lizards, winged animals and, according to rumors, also tigers.

A tip from us: the park is open to visitors all year round, but it is often subject to monsoons, so if you don't want to visit the area when the wild animals are taking shelter from the rain, it is recommended to be updated before your visit about the expected weather.

Hua Hin - The Venezia complex

The Venice Complex is a modern complex designed to simulate the world famous city of canals and gondolas - Venice. Accordingly, you will find in the complex small-scale replicas of the main sites and attractions of Venice, such as the famous canals, Piazza San Marco and more.

However, the complex is actually a shopping center with dozens of different types of stores designed for tourists and as such you will not find locals in the area except for those who operate the facilities and stores.
