First of all - travel insurance

Let's make it short: you don't fly to Thailand without insurance. point. The insurance costs in relation to the price of the trip are negligible and the knowledge that you, your friends and family members are covered in case something goes wrong is worth the peace of mind you really long for - after all, this is why you went on vacation. If you don't have time or desire to read the whole article, you can Just click here and purchase travel insurance online. In any case, it is important that you know that the insurance must be purchased from the country only (insurance purchased from abroad will not be valid) so if you are already set on dates, there is no reason to delay. This is not the place to save on your trip.

Recommended trips in the northern region of Thailand

Trang Province

In the province of Trang, located near the border of Thailand with its neighbor Malaysia, are some of the more beautiful islands of the Kingdom of Siam, which fortunately managed to keep a relatively low profile among the tourists visiting the place, and as such they are characterized by pristine landscapes that have not yet become busy and commercialized.

The province includes a land area which is mostly designated for no less than 46 islands located in the territory of the Andaman Sea and which contain some of the most special sites of the Kingdom of Thailand.

During your visit to the area, you can choose a route from among the great hiking trails that pass through the tangled forests and simply get lost in the wild nature that will surround you from all sides (of course, it is not recommended to get really lost - take a map, GPS and a local guide with you if you want to get off the main paths) - traditional fishing villages , beautiful waterfalls, calcareous cliffs and quite a few magical beaches with colorful coral reefs.

Among the most recommended islands to visit in this area you will find the island Ko Lipe where you can enjoy the most beautiful diving sites in Thailand and among the most beautiful and recommended in the whole world, including sharks, dolphins, manta rays and a wide variety of tropical fish and marine plants, and the island of Ko Muk (Ko Muk) with great bathing beaches, the beautiful emerald cave (Tham Morakot) leading To a clear lagoon with breathtaking views and a rich underwater world that is located near the coastline and allows a rare glimpse of the life below the surface of the water, already during an innocent snorkel.

Koh Kood

A pastoral island with a total of 2,000 inhabitants and although it is relatively uninhabited, it is the fourth largest island in Thailand. If so, how come you haven't heard of him until today? It is not clear. Although this island is considered relatively anonymous for the average Israeli traveler, it is considered one of the most beloved among many tourists from around the world and what is good for them is surely good enough for us.

Ko Kod Island offers the ultimate belly-back experience, with golden beaches, crystal clear turquoise waters and a vibrant nightlife scene that makes it a great place for beachgoers, but it also has quiet corners that make it a favorite destination for couples in love and families with children.

Getting to the island is only possible by sea, and once you reach the pastoral place, you can enjoy bathing in the spectacular beaches, snorkeling and diving sites, and great hiking trails that go through the tangled rainforests that cover the island.

Khanom

The town of Khanom is a small and colorful fishing town that will allow you to glimpse the real Thailand with an atmosphere reminiscent of a kibbutz where everyone knows everyone else and walks the town's alleys happy, smiling and barefoot.

This is not a place with plenty of activities and attractions, but one that is visited in order to enjoy village life with a rare opportunity to absorb some of the little authenticity that is still left in Thailand - local bars with dusty snooker tables, traditional restaurants with large and satisfying dishes, as well as several massage parlors and spas (because Thailand anyway).

In addition to these, you can of course enjoy spectacular beaches, but the highlight of the area is, how to say - an urban legend, which tells about pink dolphins swimming in the sea water and sometimes emerging and allowing the lucky few who are in the area to glimpse them for a brief moment.

How to get there? In order to get to Khanum, you have to go to Surat Thani and from there get on a special taxi or a van leaving the airport. Travel time - about an hour and a half.

Large parts of Ko Chang Island are covered in rainforests with tall trees that also serve as habitats for various wild animals and to complete the pastoral picture, if you look up you can look at the mountains and hills surrounding the area.
