Siam Nirmit is one of the famous and popular shows in Bangkok and Thailand. During the show, you can visit the different parts of Thailand without getting up from your chair, get to know the history of the kingdom, understand the local religion and enjoy the spectacular folklore - all this in a specially invested production that combines pyrotechnics, stunts, various visual means, complex choreography and the talent of many actors and dancers.
The show itself is nothing less than virtuoso and it does not fall short of the most advanced western productions. On the stage you can see 150 participants who change during the show no less than 500 costumes and also several elephants. The setting also changes and each set is more impressive than the previous one. An artificial river flows on the stage and some of the effects include thunderstorms and rain - everything is very realistic and includes the use of very advanced technologies.
The journey will take you to get to know the Buddhist culture and to tour the four regions of Thailand: Northern Thailand, the Isan region, ancient Siam and central Thailand. Each is characterized by a different culture, a different history and also a different nature.
Siam Nirmit is not only a journey across Thailand, but also a journey through time. It describes the local culture and its development over 700 years. You will see on stage a rice harvest, sword fights and clips from the life of the royal family. You will watch the Buddhist hell and its torments, where alcoholics are forced to drink boiling water and liars have their tongues torn out. In the glimpse you will get into the Buddhist paradise, you will see angels dancing in a dreamy atmosphere.
In the last part of the show you will get a taste of the various festivals that take place in the country, every season of the year and the festivals that are customary there. Thanks to this extraordinary production, the show was praised all over the world and even entered the Guinness Book of Records.
If you want to extend the experience, you can purchase a package that also includes dinner in a special atmosphere. It is also recommended to visit the replica of the village on the spot, where you can taste snacks, see a puppet theater and see local traditions such as weaving or a Thai massage. You can also enjoy riding elephants and visit the souvenir shop. If you are in the area, take the opportunity to visit the nearby Ratchada Night Market.
The basic ticket price is 1500 baht and better seats are sold for 2500 baht. For a meal you will have to add another 350 baht. The show takes place once a day, at 8 in the evening and lasts about an hour and a half. It is recommended to arrive an hour or even two hours before the show, to enjoy the warm-up performances and the various attractions.
