The world of safari Bangkok is a huge natural park located 40 kilometers from the city. It contains two separate areas - a water park and a safari park. As in a safari in Africa, most of the traffic within the safari park is done by vehicles. The main attraction of the place is of course the animals, so this is an experience suitable for the whole family. In addition to watching the animals in the natural habitats, various performances are held there and there are plenty of food stalls, restaurants and souvenir shops, so you can easily spend a whole day there.
The animals in the park roam freely in its territory, accustomed to the presence of humans and vehicles in their surroundings. The length of the route in the land part is about 8 kilometers (45 minutes on average) and it includes a variety of land animals - lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras, camels, antelopes, various birds and more (a total of about 75 species of mammals and about 300 species of birds). The park looks just like a jungle and you can see the animals walking in groups, eating, napping or bathing, with almost complete indifference to your existence.
You can stop at any point along the way, take pictures and admire the animals. However, it is forbidden to open the vehicle windows, get out of the vehicle, feed the animals or interfere in any way with their life. Drive slowly and try not to make any noise so as not to scare the animals away. Of course, there are inspectors walking around the place who will maintain order and the caution of the visitors and alert them when necessary.
After you have finished the tour in the safari park, you can move on to visit the marine park. This part of the park looks more like a traditional, large zoo. Here, you can watch 7 different circus shows. Among others, a show of elephants, sea lions, dolphins and monkeys. Each show has a theme behind it - Hollywood, the Wild West and more.
According to many, the best attraction in the park is feeding the giraffes - you can hand them bananas yourself and if you're lucky (or not), even get a lick from them.
The safari world is not reached directly by means Public transport from Bangkok. Therefore, the simplest (and most expensive) way to get to the place is to take cab. If you want to save money and use local transportation, from the city center you can take the BTS line to Mo Chit station and from there take a bus (line 26 or 96) to Fashion Island Shopping Mall. From there it is another short taxi ride (which should cost up to 100 baht).
The place is open every day of the week. The safari park is open from 9:00-17:00 and the marine park is open from 9:00-18:00.
The animal shows are held at different times during the day, you should check the schedule before you arrive.
You can purchase the entrance tickets in advance on various websites. There are options for different packages, with or without buffet meals in restaurants, for entry to one of the areas of the place or both.
