Bangkok is not known in the world for being a green city with clear air, but despite this it has one green lung that should not be missed - Lumpini Park. In the large park, which has an area of no less than 576 dunams, you can take a break from the city and its bustle, enjoy large lawns, an artificial lake, sports facilities and shows.
Rama VI is the king who initiated the establishment of this park. Its construction began in the 20s of the last century and for this purpose an area was allocated that was owned by the royal house, and is now used by the general public. The origin of the park's name is the city of Lumpini in Naples (actually, the name of the city used to be "Lombini"), which is the birthplace of Buddha.
The park is managed well and according to a schedule, so that all users can enjoy it.
