Ko Ma - the island that will feel like the end of the world to you

If you have limited time in Thailand, which is probably the case if you are traveling there and not living there, you will probably want to combine the different types of vacation that can be experienced in this beautiful and exotic country. Thailand is famous all over the world in so many areas, that sometimes it is difficult to understand how to combine them in a limited period of time. This is why, if you have the opportunity to experience some of the country's face in one place, it is recommended to do so. And if you want to experience wild nature, Crystal clear beaches, diving in amazing reefs, direct access to the best parties in the country (and maybe in the world) and not bad proximity to advanced infrastructure, the beach of Koh Ma is the place for you.

Ko Ma, as its name indicates, is actually a separate island attached to the famous island Copenhagen. The tiny island is located very close to the northwestern tip of Copenhagen, and at low tide you can see the white sand path that connects the two and allows land access to it. Koh Ma beach itself is on the island of Kopenhagen, right next to the strip connecting the two islands. This is a beautiful and remote beach, in the less crowded area of the popular island. Near it you will find several sites that are highly recommended to visit on the island, such as The 360 bar And more.

In order to reach it, it is recommended rent a scooter (if you have a proper license) or a taxi, which will bring you to this part of the island. At many of the beaches in the area, including Ko Ma beach itself, access to the beach may be restricted to residents The resorts near the beach. Take that into account and prepare accordingly.

Where do you sleep in what line?

In the Koh Ma beach area (which, as mentioned, is in Kopenhagen) the supply is not particularly rich and in fact very few people, if at all, choose to stay in the area. On the beach itself and in its immediate vicinity you will find mostly mid-level and above hotels, and there aren't many of those either. However, if you are flexible and go a little further from the beach to the nearby beaches, you can slightly expand the offer of places to stay. Either way, keep in mind that since this is the quieter and less busy area of the island, the variety of hotels here is more limited than in the south of the island. In addition, the price range here is narrower, leaning more towards the high prices than the low ones offered by backpacker guesthouses.

When to reach what line?

Even though Koh Ma itself is a separate island from Kopenhagen, all the recommendations regarding reaching it are also valid for Ham Island. The fact that Kuma Beach is in Copenhagen adds to this. The tourist season in Copenhagen depends on the famous monthly parties that take place there, the Full Moon and the half-moon, this is in addition to the usual effect of The weather in Thailand on the number of tourists on the island. The best weather in the southern part of Thailand, including Ko Pha Ngan and Koh Koh, is coming Between the months of December and March. This is also the period when the number of tourists visiting the island increases significantly. Add to that the highly sought-after parties, and you will realize that the most expensive time to visit Copenhagen in general and Koh Ma Beach in particular, is during these months and towards the middle of the lunar month. This is the period when the island is at its maximum occupancy, hotel prices rise and along with them the prices of attractions and even ferries.

On the other hand, if you want the island to yourself (or almost, since it is never empty), and if you want to enjoy the secluded beach with the most exclusivity you can ask for, it is recommended to come in the off-season. In the summer months the weather is more challenging, but you can certainly find days free of rain and inviting for a trip. If you decide it's right for you, you can find amazing prices and great deals especially on Kuma Beach (and the rest of the island). Do not forget to compare prices, conduct a market survey and, if necessary, after you have found exactly what you are looking for, hurry up and place an order in advance due to the high demand.

What are we doing in what line?

As mentioned, staying at Koh Ma Beach allows you access to both the exotic island and the more frenetic and lively nature of South Copenhagen. This is the perfect place to relax and experience the endless sea and the peaceful island, but if you want to be more active, the beach offers several attractions, some of them sporty and very enjoyable, such as renting kayaks for rowing in the bays of Ko Phangan and Koh Ma, motor boats and more. In addition, the island is surrounded by clear beaches where you can swim, snorkel and dive, and just sunbathing on the soft sand and "belly back" are always welcome. Koh Ma beach itself is not so suitable for these activities, except for sunbathing, but a beach Mae Haad The next door is best suited for this. For the nature lovers among you, it is possible to reach the Meha line itself and walk it, although it is important to bring good walking shoes with you and also to familiarize yourself with the routes offered there.

The perfect balance between the hustle and bustle of South Copenhagen and the absolute tranquility of the North of the island and Ko Me can be the optimal combination point of your vacation in Thailand and an opportunity for a real time out.
